Point Roberts Yacht Club

Location

Point Roberts Yacht Club is located in Point Roberts, Washington, just across the border from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  Point Roberts is a small point of land in the US extending south from Canada out into the Strait of Georgia, providing great sailing and easy access to the San Juan and Gulf Islands.  It is roughly 10 miles east of Blaine WA, but reachable by land only via Canada.

Length of Stay

First two nights of moorage are free, then moorage is $0.50/foot/night.  Please tie as close to other boats as possible to maximize available space.  Limited to two vessels at one time, and visits shall not exceed 1 stay in any 30 day period.

Procedures

RESERVATIONS ARE ENCOURAGED- CALL 360 945 2255.  Upon arrival, please tie up to the guest moorage dock located at the entrance into the marina basin on the east side of the inner channel.  Please register at the marina office at the top of the ramp, in the upper floor of the building.  There may be additional space besides the guest dock if it is filled.  Sign up for 30A power for $3/day.  You must fly your club burgee.

Although the club is located in the United States and most of the members are Canadian, the border crossing presents little problem. The Point Roberts Yacht Club currently shares facilities with the Point Roberts Marina Club located in the marina building.

Amenities

• The concrete docks have power ($3/day) and water.

• Restrooms, laundry facilities, and free showers available in the club when the restaurant is open.

• There is a pump out, fuel dock, two haul-out facilities and full marine maintenance services on site.

• A chandlery and restaurants compliment the services.

•  The major advantage of the Point Roberts Marina is accessibility to open water. Within 5 minutes of casting your lines you are out of the harbor, enroute to Semiahmoo, the American San Juans, the Canadian Gulf Islands or the northern Strait of Georgia – four completely different directions.
