Maple Bay Yacht Club

Location

Maple Bay Yacht Club is located on the Vancouver Island side of Sansum Narrows. The yacht club is the first large facility on the south end of Maple Bay near the western entrance to Bird's Eye Cove. Visitor moorage is situated on the outside of the 310' breakwater wharf.  Draft at the dock is restricted to 6 ft or less.

Length of Stay

5 days total per year. 2 non-consecutive days free. 3 additional days will be charged at the rate of CDN$0.50 per foot overall length per day. Reservations are not available.

Procedures

Tie up to the outside dock. No moorage inside the breakwater. No rafting. No vessels in excess of 60 feet. Register with the dockmaster (Mo Fielden, 250-746-6917) between 1400 and 1700, otherwise register at the clubhouse.  Be prepared to show your membership card.

Amenities

• Water. 15A Power for CDN$3 plus CDN$1 donation to Marine Parks Forever program. Restrooms & Shower on the lower deck of the clubhouse. Garbage disposal.

• Ice and a public telephone located at the pier.

• Clubhouse and bar open daily.

• City services at Maple Bay Marina 0.5 miles south of the yacht club - Restaurant, pub, laundromat, boat repairs, very limited groceries, two fuel docks.
