Bellingham Yacht Club

Location

Bellingham Yacht Club is located in Squalicum Harbor in Bellingham.   This is a large marina with 2 entrances, use the northernmost entrance to access the club docks, which are the docks closest to shore. There is 200 feet of side tie dock space available and the largest boat the turn in the fairway will accommodate is about 65 feet.  The low water dock side depth is over 7 feet.  Reservations may be made for large groups but otherwise it is first come first serve. Tie as close as possible to other boats to make room for others.

Length of Stay

First night of moorage is free, then moorage is $0.50/foot/night.  Three night stay maximum.  Please tie as close to other boats as possible to maximize available space.  

Procedures

Upon arrival, get your registration form and envelope from the BYC box on the dock and deposit it in the slot on the door at the east end of the Club (at the foot of the stairs).  Place the completed form in the BYC box on the club doorway and post the stub in a visible window on your boat.  First night of moorage is free, then moorage is $0.50/foot/night.  Power is an additional $3.00/every night used.  You must fly your club burgee & display the BYC registration stub in your boat's dockside window.   No cooking on the docks- no discharge of any kind, and garbage must be disposed of in the dumpsters in the parking lot north of the dock.  Please return dock carts promptly after use.

Amenities

  • 20/30A power for $3/day.  Restrooms and showers available in the club when the restaurant is open.

  • Dock carts, Port of Bellingham showers, restrooms, laundry.  Ice machine. Public phones.

  • Full marine services and chandleries nearby.  Portable holding tank pumpout and oil tank for waste oil disposal are available in an enclosure next to the BYC dock.

  • US customs port, phone # is posted at the head of the ramp.  Weather radio receiver is available at the dock.

  • Nearby restaurants and a 10% discount at the Breakwater restaurant located in the clubhouse with a yacht club membership card.  Reciprocal guests are invited to the club's Friday at Five program, a social hour with refreshments and appetizers held on the first and third Fridays of the month at 1700, dress is casual.

  • Buses are available to go into downtown Bellingham where there are groceries, movie theaters, shopping malls, and all the rest that a small city has to offer.
