Joining Washington Yacht Club
We try to make it as cheap and easy as possible!
Membership Requirements
Membership is open to all students, faculty, and staff of the University of
Washington, as well as members of the UW Alumni Association. Spouses of
current WYC members can also join.
Becoming a Member
There are two convenient locations to pay membership dues and become a member - the
HUB ticket office, and the yacht club office (HUB SB-24) during
office hours. Bring your
student, faculty, staff, or alumni ID to one of these offices, pay the
appropriate fees, fill out the forms, and you will be issued a yacht club membership card.
Membership Fees
Initiation fees are required for new members and members who have let their
membership expire for more than one quarter.

Spouses of WYC members may join the club by paying the same dues as their
spouse. Spouses do not pay initiation fees.
Boat On The Lawn
Boat On The Lawn is our once a quarter membership recruiting drive. We
put a sailboat (usually a colorful catamaran) on the HUB lawn at the beginning
of each quarter and try to sign up lots of new members. Boat On The Lawn
is also typically the first day of lesson
signups.
